Music in the Key of Life
Robert Armand, born in Erie, Pennsylvania as Robert Armand Tirak, and grew up in the Mojave Desert in Southern California listening to acoustic music still popular in Southern California today. His Freestyle Americana music encompasses many variations of acoustic and electric overtones including folk, rock, blues, and country.
At a young age Robert tended to be a bit of a loner and looked up to his grandfather who was, among other things, an awesome grandfather and a musical actor. It’s in him Robert found his first love in music. Over the years Robert had honed his style performing in piano bars for a while until he found himself playing worship in local churches and as a warm-up act for the likes of 60's groups like Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, Roy Rogers, Jr. Other performances included playing for events like the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Stuntman's Hall of Fame events. It was a natural flow for Robert to begin some occasional side work booking of other music artist at fair grounds and other special events, in addition to raising money for charities.
Robert is now re-energized and working on writing and recording his own songs and return to his love as a singer-songwriter of Freestyle Americana songs from the heart, and about folks and experiences he's had over the years.
