Have you ever felt so lonely, empty and afraid?
Do you hold so deep inside you the reason that you’re saved?
It’s never always clear, who’s your friend and who’s your foe,
Sometimes you want forgiveness, and then the passion starts to show.
You want what’s deep inside you, to escape and be released.
But the self-will you’ve been given has kept you off your knees.
You can’t stay here much longer, cause the time is getting short.
You’ve got to pull yourself together and start reaching for the Lord.
He’s right there. But you got to reach up and stretch your arms out.
Don’t stand so still. He wants you to draw near.
The door is open but it won’t be yours forever.
Gotta keep moving, moving forward from here.
Don’t tear your brother down, while he’s trying to help you up.
You should offer up forgiveness, instead of trying to one him up.
Remember Him who taught you, and by His grace that you were saved.
And that the place where He has brought you, is better than where you came.
So are you ready to show your colors? Are you ready to show you care?
Take giant leap in progress; show the Lord that you’re aware.
If you want what’s deep inside you, to escape and be released.
You’ve got to get your feet in motion, and stop holding on to your seat.
